Good is great, the menu is quite topical of other Mexican restaurants. Service is friendly. Our youngest one is not into my homegrown palate. She loved the pizza ! In her own words "It's the Bomb of pizzas. Better than the ...hut or G...danos".
I was greatly amazed in trying the food in this place. I'll tell you right away, the look from outside is different from the food on the plate. All the money they have, they definitely put it in having good food. Easily top 10 Hispanic food I have tried. They have things to improve of course but their food is definitely tasty. Will go back one day.
I almost never write reviews but both times we have gone for carry out, we have been met with rude, unhelpful staff. They say very little in the way of trying to give friendly service and get frustrated with patrons for no reason. I called ahead to order takeout, and my girlfriend went to go pick it up. The person on the phone never took a name for it and they got frustrated with my girlfriend when she only knew her half of the order and couldn't figure out ours from another person's because they didn't bother to take down a name. The food is good, but not worth garbage service. Tony's Taco's in Normal provides much friendlier service and the food is just as good if not better.
Love them tacos nachos were not that great but who orders nachos at a Mexican restaurant
The food is great at this restaurant. But the service the past couple of weeks was terrible. When my boyfriend and I went to get tacos the waitress took our order and drinks (you need to order a big drink because there was no one to bring you refills) the waitress went to all tables around us to check on them and never once came to see if we needed anything else. We had to get up and get our own forks and napkins. We paid and left a small tip since the food was good. My family of 11 went to celebrate my sister's birthday yesterday evening. The waitress argued trying to fit 11 people and a toddler within two tables. They said they needed the additional tables for the church that gets off at 5. They told my family they had to eat fast and wouldn't bring them drinks until they ordered food and refused to give my brother in law a pitcher of beer since they were rushing (he got a beer bottle). Now if they close down for a church to eat dinner why couldn't they say "hey can you do a to go order or come back after 6"?.. but no, they were super rude. I know the owner hasn't been in and I pray she is well, but damn these waitresses are not good at customer service. I hope they figure it out because they have the best tacos in Bloomington. In my opinion if you want to eat here then order to go. I only recommend this place because the food is really good.
